Introduction to project-specific licences
Project-specific licences make it possible to adapt the conditions of use of the Standard Licence according to the domain, context, and particular requirements of each project. Their purpose is to preserve the integrity and ethical coherence of creations while offering flexibility suited to the operational reality of each sector. Each sub-licence keeps the structure of the Standard Licence, but adds additional clauses specific to its field of application.
Each sub-licence retains the foundation of the Standard Licence, but adds conditions adapted to the project’s context and nature:
- Educational – MOOCs, textbooks, Abundance University: integration of copyright in education, licensed libraries, academic committees.
- Scientific – Publications, citations, repositories: ethical open science, standardised deposits, citation databases.
- Territorial – Charters, cities, governance: local cultural sovereignty, bilingual charters, registries of works.
- Artistic – Performances, visuals, recordings: protection of artistic intention, stage licences, metadata.
- Technological – Software, modules, white labels: ethical design, dual licences, signed repositories.
- Humanitarian – Free use within a non-profit and ethical framework, with mandatory integration into REED or Labelled governance. Examples: Angels projects, Hands, Vaccination, WASH, Resilience Centres.
- Philosophical or pedagogical – Reproduction for educational purposes under conditions (e.g., Abundance University), full mention of the REED context and the author, strict limits against spiritual-commercial drifts.
- Ecosystemic – Interdependence of components: using one element entails adherence to the whole. Multi-domain or Sphere/NODE-type projects (Label Water, Minecraft, etc.). Multi-layer licence (content / design / interactions / governance).
- New paradigms – Systemic concepts: Spiral Quantum Vibes, electronic SEL, Consciousness models… Dynamic or adaptive licences (possible evolution by version), protection of future uses (quantum sciences, AI, metaverse, etc.).
- Community – Collective practices, local initiatives: citizen governance, pooling of resources, shared recognition.
